Update on SNF and LTACH prior authorization

Effective immediately, no prior authorization is required to go to a SNF/LTACH  facility for a Medicare Advantage member. 

We are requesting that you notify Optum Care–Connecticut of the admission to the SNF/LTACH facility by calling 1-888-556-7048.

This change does not take away the need for the admission to meet the medical necessity criteria. 

We will let you know when the rule changes.
